Velvet Taco @ Rockwall, TX
One of the first job sites I have had the opportunity to see a project from the very beginning and followed through until opening day!
Location: 2608 Ridge Road, Rockwall, TX 75087

Existing Conditions
The building was an existing vacant Long John Silvers in the city of Rockwall, Texas. The condition within it's walls was an unexpected discovery during construction.
Design Phase
While maintaining the existing foundation and structural integrity of the building as they were with repairs that were unforeseen. With a unique branding, we kept the existing façade with alterations in finishes. Repurposed the existing columns into a new industrial meets neon waves banner in which to represent the lake (Lake Ray Hubbard) nearby. Topped with the client's signature branding material, from neon signage to checkered ribbon that wraps around the building.

Mural Design Narrative
by Amanda Deady
The mural is a college of several things which is easily overlooked by the average viewer. To elaborate as the artist the rainbow is colorful like the client, the appearance and taste of their menu. The fishing pole and bass going for a bite taco fixings is for the mad obsession of favored fishing spots. The golfing green is an avocado with the flag being a tomato. The golf ball represents the moon as the location and surrounding lake side hangouts offer great romantic night gazing opportunities. Meanwhile, flying tacos to accompany the sounds of neighboring airports that fly above. Above all the experience is fantastic from both as a designers and a consumer!
